Dave Wiest is the Director of Tennis & Recreation at the Stonebridge
Ranch Beach & Tennis Club located in McKinney, Texas, a position he has held
since 1998. He is a P-1 rated tennis professional by the United States
Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) since 1985 and a certified professional
by the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) since 1984 as well as a United States
Tennis Association (USTA) Lifetime member. Dave is also the recipient of the
Victor Sushenoff Meritorious Education Award and the Distinguished Service
Award given by the USTA for the contributions he made in the Schools Program. Coach
Dave has taught thousands of people over the years how to play and enjoy tennis!

Luis Herrera is a former top 50 player in the world with
wins over John McEnroe, Jimmy Connors and Jim Courier. Luis played Davis Cup
for Mexico for 11 years and was the team captain in 2000, 2001. In 2000, Luis
was the Mexican Olympic Team Captain in Sydney.

Claudia Wesbrooks played # 1 at LSU and played on the
women’s pro circuit. Claudia has been a tennis professional in the Dallas area
for over 10 years.

Scott Whiteman trained as a junior player and coached as an
adult for several years at the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy in Bradenton,
Florida. Scott also holds a seasonal position as the Director of Tennis at
Bayley Beach in Rowayton, Connecticut, a position he has held since 1996.

Leticia (Leti) Herrera At the age of 14, Leti was ranked #1 in South
America and Central America for girls 14’s.
Her early success gave her the opportunity to travel the world as a junior and
play pro-circuit tournaments such as the US Open, the French Open and the
Italian Open. She was considered the fastest junior tennis player on the circuit. Among
her awards are several Junior National Championships including the Sugar Bowl and she was the
recipient of 2 National Sportsmanship awards.
Leti played college tennis at LSU on a tennis scholarship and is a great
role model for all the children in our program.

Alison McTague – Tom Travis - Kole Frink
Alison and Tom are avid tennis players and have been class instructors for the
junior tennis program for several years. Tom has been with us since 1998 and
Alison since 2000. Tom is
also a member of the USRSA and owner of Heads Ups Stringing. For stringing and
gripping services, please e-mail Tom. Kole attends Texas A&M University in College
Station, Texas. He is an instructor for the Select Tennis Academy during the
summer and school holidays. He was a Texas 4A state doubles quarter and
semi-finalist in 2005 & 2006 and was awarded District 9-4A MVP his junior
and senior year.
